That’s actually a draw lot machine?!

Fortune telling machine….

Kinkakuji can be accessed by direct bus number 101 or 205 from Kyoto Station…

After a long hot day, desserts are most certainly welcomed…
Presenting to you Japanese Green Tea Ice-Kachang!

That’s a smart way to tackle the coins…

Innovative 2-in-1 fork aka spoon… The green tea “Ice-Kachang” tasted great!
What a way to cool ourselves down…

Whole row of vending machine outside the desert stall of Golden Pavilion…
Notice the Nissin Cup Noodle Vending Machine on the extreme right?

We missed the Yamaboko Junko by a few days,
which is a yearly procession of floats on 17th July…
Saw the preparation on the bus while on our way to Nishiki Market…

We got a bit lost while on our way to Nishiki Market…
And we ventured into one of the UFO machine shop.
With the help of the friendly staff, we caught these 2 Poohs! Yippy!

Car parking in Kyoto…

Vance’s idea of a small house with a small car…
Vance: Liked all things compact! :)

Entrance of Nishiki Market…

Nishiki Market where local specialties,
both raw and processed food like vegetables, fish,
dried food, Japanese pickles, tea leaf and etc are sold.

The market is about 6 blocks long and runs east-west,
from Teramachi Street to Takakura Street,
located one block north of Shijio-dori.
To catch a glimpse of the local food culture,
this is definitely a must-visit place!

Fresh flowers sold...

Smoked bonito fish and bonito flakes…
Don’t the bonito flakes look similar to wood shavings?
Hamsters@HamHamFarm: Yes! We love to have them for bedding... please please please!!!

Looks appetizing….

Dried fishes…. Maybe like salted fishes?

More processed food…

Fresh food sold as well…

BTW, dried scallops are relatively cheaper in Japan… Must have ingredient for the soup…
